A Brief history of the UTVA 66

The UTVA 66 was produced in the former Yugoslavia (now Serbia/Montenegro) in a town called Pancevo which is near Belgrade.  While the AC is no longer in production, the company is still active and produces spares for this type.  It had several uses as both a civil and military operator; training, medivac, search and rescue, glider-towing, aerial photography, and agricultural.  On some models of the 66 there were mounts added where a machine gun could be attached. The plane can be fitted with either skiis or floats. Over 130 of the Utva-66 were built, including 117 for the Yugoslav AF which later became the armed forces of Serbia and Montenegro.  The UTVA 66 also served in the Macedonian Air Force.  After the fall of the iron curtain it was possible for private owners to purchase the AC and several of them have made their way over to North America.

Comments:

This particular UTVA has been an updated panel and all new radios. It has had a beautiful custom paint job and a custom refurbished interior. For an airplane history buff or collector this plane is well worth the money and in perfect condition for private use.
